Suyan Temple

Suyan Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Guide: Suyan Temple is located in Tingdian Village, Jiangnan Town, Licheng District, on the eastern side of Zimao Mountain. It was established in the 32nd year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1906 AD). Introduction: Suyan Temple was built on the ruins of the coastal temple from the Song Dynasty. Facing south with its back to the mountains, the temple is fronted by continuous mountain ridges and backed by protective hills, resembling the shape of a “swallow returning to its nest”—hence its name. At the mountaintop, there is a depiction of Laozi riding a green ox. In recent years, through renovation and expansion, the temple has added the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, as well as two corridors, four pavilions, a lotus pond, gardens, a Merit Hall, and a free medicine dispensary, giving the site a completely renewed landscape.
