Liujingkong Music, Culture & Creative Park

The "Liujingkong" in Beimen Street, downtown, gets its name from an ancient six-hole well within the park that dates back a thousand years. It has been transformed from an abandoned old factory area into a cultural industry park shaped like a pipa (a traditional Chinese instrument used in Nanyin music). It mainly features a Minnan Music Culture Center, exhibition halls, and a business and leisure center. The park preserves representative cultural heritage of the old city, including folk music, local opera, folk dance, folk handicrafts, and traditional costumes, and takes traditional music such as Quanzhou Nanyin, Liyuan Opera, and Dacheng Opera as its highlights. It strives to establish an original Minnan song creation base, skillfully blending the historical charm with a modern, fashionable style. The park's iconic landscape — the Nanyin pipa sculpture — serves as the first creative industry landmark element in Quanzhou, and together with the Liujingkong Cultural Industry Park, it composes a new chapter of cultural creativity as the “city’s reception hall.”
