The Xixi Cultural and Ecological Tourism area is centered around the Xixi River basin, built upon cultural and ecological foundations, and characterized by covered bridges and ancient architecture. It stretches from Waishan Village and Niudang Mountain in Xixi Township in the north to Xianfeng Village in the south, from Bijia Mountain in the west to the ridgeline of Changgangtou Mountain in the east, and also includes the areas around Jiakeng and Shizhuzhou, covering an area of approximately 17.8 square kilometers. The distribution of tourism resources features a pattern of wide dispersal with small concentrations, including the Xipu Cultural Garden Village, the Xixi Ancient Architectural Complex, the Xixi Water Scenic Belt, the Jiakeng Red Tourism Site, the Bijia Mountain Mountain Scenic Belt, and the Shizhuzhou Canyon. Xixi River Rafting is located six kilometers upstream from the headwaters of the Xixi River and is a great destination for summer vacation. The rafting course spans five kilometers with a drop of 170 meters, taking over two hours to complete, and uses inflatable rubber rafts. The rafting route has been meticulously designed by experts, featuring sections where the rafts soar through the air, submerge underwater, and pass through tunnels over a hundred meters long, making for an exciting and thrilling experience. The start and end points of the Xixi River Rafting connect to eight other attractions: the Pingkeng Outdoor Adventure Area, Hengshi (Longjing Gorge) Scenic Spot, Xiaping Scenic Spot, Baizhangji Scenic Spot, Longtan Scenic Spot, Moon Bay Scenic Spot, the Xixi Ancient Village Scenic Spot, and the Fushou Covered Bridge, integrating the rafting adventure with mountain and water sightseeing to create a fun-filled, scenic, and immersive water-based experience.

In recent years, Xixi Township has developed its tourism industry, establishing recreational activities such as rafting. Xixi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Shouning County. Established as Hongqi Commune in 1958, renamed Xixi Commune in 1970, and reorganized as a township in 1984. Located in the eastern part of the county, it covers an area of 130 square kilometers with a population of 16,000. The Shouning-Taishun Highway passes through the town.
