The Hong Mingyang Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Hong Mingyang Revolutionary Memorial Hall in Mingyang Village, Guanling Town, Fuding City has recently been completed and opened to the public. Mingyang Village was once a well-known revolutionary base area in the Fujian-Zhejiang region. As early as the early 1930s, our Party established an underground communication station here. The village was also a major activity area for the Provisional Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party in Fujian and Zhejiang Border Region and the Red Army Advance Division.

During the revolutionary war years, veteran revolutionaries such as Liu Ying, Zheng Danfu, Wang Lieping, and Lin Huishan established a base in Mingyang Village and carried out revolutionary struggles. During the [Cultural Revolution] years, the villagers of this old revolutionary base area in Mingyang made tremendous sacrifices, even giving their lives, to protect revolutionary comrades and contribute to the victory of the revolution. To honor the martyrs, ensure future generations remember the great achievements of these heroes, carry forward the fine traditions of the old revolutionary base areas, and build a harmonious society, Fuding City invested over 500,000 yuan in July 2007 to begin the planning and construction of the memorial hall.
