The Chixi Gengleyuan Tourist Scenic Area in Mount Taimu is located in Chixi Village, Panxi Town, at the western foot of Mount Taimu. Situated at the center of nearby attractions including Mount Taimu (10 km), Yangjiaxi (3 km), and Jiuli Stream (2 km), it mainly offers six major leisure series base projects: water sports (rafting, obstacle challenges), outdoor adventure (desert training, jungle trekking), high-altitude activities (high-altitude combinations, zip-lining), waterfall slides, leisure vacations, and fruit and vegetable picking.

The scenic area provides a series of farming experience projects, allowing visitors to engage in traditional agricultural work. It features over 120 beds across leisure accommodations such as wooden villa houses, wooden RVs, and wooden tea houses. The Dabai Tea House Hotel has dining facilities for over 300 people and private banquet rooms, offering comfortable conditions for tourism accommodation, vacation rest, and meetings or gatherings.

Gengleyuan is situated at the heart of the Sea Fairy Capital — Mount Taimu — along with the Yangjiaxi and Jiuli Stream scenic areas, as well as Xiashanxi and Sangcui Lake. When you step into this poetic and picturesque “Taimu Mountain Gengleyuan Cultural Village” — Chixi — you will immediately sense a utopian rural culture where natural simplicity blends seamlessly with modern civilization, presenting you with a serene farming haven where humans and nature coexist, breathe together, and promote longevity.

This place was once the hermitage of Lin Song, a late-Tang Dynasty governor of Jinzhou, who built his “Pear Blossom Thatched Cottage” here to immerse himself in the landscape — a cultural sanctuary steeped in humanity. It is also the former site of the renowned “China’s First Poverty Alleviation Village” from 30 years ago — the birthplace of China’s poverty alleviation policies. Moreover, it is home to the living fossil known as the “panda of the water” — the freshwater jellyfish. Additionally, it is the “First Gengleyuan Wellness Source in the Strait,” a naturally crafted paradise integrating six wellness elements: water, air, food, activity, joy, and dwelling — a celestial stream of light.

The water here originates from mountain springs, with water quality meeting 106 standards; the air, enriched by forests and waterfalls, has a negative ion density exceeding 20,000; the food includes hundreds of green products such as wild herbs, fruits, vegetables, and melons.

Activity options let you experience six major wellness and adventure sports: high-altitude adventures, jungle trekking, desert training, stream rafting, farming experiences, and wellness retreats. For fun, you can enjoy the neon-lit nights by the stream, water screen movies, bonfire singing and dancing, barbecues, fruit picking, tea entertainment by the stream pavilion, and board games.
