Era: Ming and Qing Dynasties

Location: Nongye Village, Qin’yu Town, Fuding City

Introduction: Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this site was originally used to bury local anti-Wokou martyrs and those who died without heirs or homes. During the Qing Dynasty, as the Left and Right Camps of Qin’yu began conscripting soldiers to guard Taiwan, those who died in service or of illness were buried here alongside veterans who had participated in the recovery of Taiwan under Zheng Chenggong (Koxinga) and former garrison troops stationed on the island. In 1974, the ashes of ordinary civilians and revolutionary figures were also collected and interred here. Hutougang includes two tombs of Taiwan-guarding veterans (each with a gravestone) and three anti-Wokou martyr cemeteries, covering a total area of 2,500 square meters.

Protected Area: The entire cemetery, plus an additional 20-meter buffer zone surrounding each of the two martyr cemeteries on the right side of Shengshou Ridge.

In 2009, the Tomb Cluster of Soldiers Guarding Taiwan from Qin’yu was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
