Taining Geological Museum Garden

Covering an area of 120 acres, Taining Geological Museum Garden features the Geological Celebrities Avenue, Earth Science Popularization Exhibition Hall, Taining Unique Rocks, classical gardens, and a GIS demonstration system.

The garden consists of two parts: an indoor geological exhibition hall and outdoor garden landscapes. The indoor geological exhibition hall spans 800 square meters and includes seven exhibition areas: a multimedia demonstration hall, a sand table exhibition hall, an ecological environment exhibition hall for animals and plants, an academic research achievements exhibition hall for the geopark, and a planning and future exhibition hall. It mainly introduces geological knowledge to the public through audiovisual materials, text, specimens, models, and other forms, presenting an overview of Taining Geopark, its formation background, and typical Danxia landforms.

Outdoors, there are garden landscapes, the Geological Celebrities Avenue, a plaza, a landscape flood control dike, walking trails, a miniature waterscape of Danxia landforms, and sculptures. The main sculpture of the museum garden is a giant fan inscribed with eight large characters: “千古丹霞，灵秀泰宁” (Ages of Danxia, Enchanting Taining). The base of the fan features a circular pattern of the Eight Trigrams.
