From September 22 to 24, over 90 athletes from 45 top teams across China, the United States, Germany, France, and other countries and regions gathered in Taining to participate in the 2013 Danxia Taining International Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge. Over the three-day competition, they took on challenges including cross-country running, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, and orienteering skills, covering a total race distance of 162 kilometers.
