The "China Sports Marketing Forum 2013 China Mountain Outdoor Sports (Taining) Summit," guided by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Mountaineering Association, and hosted by the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and the People's Government of Sanming City, with co-organization by the People's Government of Taining County and the China Sports Marketing Forum, opened on the 22nd in Taining County.
With the theme of "Big Outdoor, Big Brands, Big Industry," the summit aims to interpret and discuss the Taining mountain outdoor sports model by uniting domestic host cities capable and qualified in organizing mountain outdoor sports events, working together to build top-tier mountain outdoor sports competitions in China.
Zhang Zhijian, Director of the Outdoor Department of the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, believes that this summit has achieved mutual support among mountain outdoor sports host locations. By leveraging events to boost local tourism industries and thereby create a higher-end tourism and cultural market, Taining’s Danxia Outdoor Sports Competition has already taken a successful first step. It is expected to become a national and even international brand event in the future, allowing the world to share Taining’s unique natural heritage.
