Qingyun Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Location: Zhukou Village, Zhukou Town, Taining County

Introduction: Initially constructed in the fifth year of the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty (1632), it is modeled after a pavilion-style tower. The structure is made of brick, stone, and wood, with seven stories and eight sides, standing 21 meters tall. The base is built from granite, with a diameter of 10 meters and each side measuring 3.9 meters. The upper parts of each story feature corbelled brickwork that supports the stone eaves. Stone steps are embedded along the inner walls of the pagoda, with one niche and one door on each level. Each level bears inscribed titles such as “Qingyun Pagoda,” “Pearls Melt into Wonder,” “Cloud Peaks Soar Green,” “Central Pillar of Heaven,” and “Compassionate Light Shines Far,” as well as a stone plaque inscribed with “Great Practice of Prajna” and sealed with the official stamp of Li Chunya, the Ming Dynasty Minister of War and Junior Guardian.

Protected area: Extends 25 meters outward from all sides of the pagoda.

In 2009, Qingyun Pagoda was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
