The Site of the Red Cooperative in Taining, Central Soviet Area, is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Site of the Red Cooperative in Taining, Central Soviet Area, is located on the middle section of Heping Street in Shan Cheng Town, Taining County, diagonally opposite the current Xinhua Bookstore.

To counter the economic blockade by the Kuomintang, the Taining Soviet Area Red Consumer Cooperative sold daily necessities at affordable prices to benefit workers and peasants, thereby breaking free from the manipulation of profiteers and ensuring the healthy development of the economic construction in the Central Soviet Area.

The original building of the Red Consumer Cooperative in the Taining Central Soviet Area was a two-story wooden structure. After 1960, due to urban development needs, Heping Street was widened to 12.5 meters, and all buildings along the old street were demolished and rebuilt. The Red Consumer Cooperative of the Central Soviet Area was demolished and not preserved.
