The battlefield site of the Dayangzhang Ambush is a classic red tourism attraction.
The battlefield site of the Dayangzhang Ambush is located in Dayangping Natural Village, QiuHong Administrative Village, Shan Cheng Town, to the northwest of Taining County.
Dayangping Natural Village is situated at the foot of the southern side of Dayangzhang Mountain. In front of the village, there is an open and flat hillside area. Standing atop the peak of Dayangzhang, one can overlook the entire village, making it highly advantageous for ambushing the enemy.
Dayangzhang is approximately 10 kilometers from Taining County. It is a prominent mountain that guards the key transportation route from the county northward to Xinqiao and Lipu in Jiangxi Province. The main peak has an elevation of 1,100 meters, with steep cliffs on the east, west, and north sides. There is only a path leading to the summit through a gap between two smaller peaks on the south side. The terrain is rugged, easily defensible, and difficult to attack, covering a total area of about 20,000 square meters.

QiuHong Village: QiuHong Village is located in the northern part of Taining County, about 10 kilometers from the county seat. It administers three natural villages and four villager groups, with 112 households and a population of 434. The village has 5,947 mu of forested land and 667 mu of arable land.
Since the reform and opening-up, our village has undergone tremendous changes in its appearance. The road from the county seat to our village has been paved with cement, and a national-standard secondary highway leads to our village. The newly developed Dayangping Industrial Park in the county is located within our village, covering a development area of more than 3,000 mu.
