The Site of the Communist Party Committee of Taining County and the Soviet Government of Taining County in Long'an is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Communist Party Committee of Taining County and the Soviet Government of Taining County is located in Dalong Township, southwest of Taining County.

During the Fifth Counter-Encirclement Campaign of the Central Soviet Area, in March 1934, Tang Enbo’s 10th Column of the Nationalist Kuomintang Eastern Route Army approached Taining. On March 19, the battle to defend Taining County officially began. Faced with overwhelmingly superior enemies, the Red Army soldiers and Taining residents showed no fear and fought bravely. However, due to being outnumbered and the failure of relief forces to arrive in time, the county fell again. After occupying the city, the Communist Party Committee of Taining County, the Soviet Government of Taining County, along with some Red Army troops and guerrilla forces, evacuated the urban area. In April, they relocated to Shuangping Village in Dabu via Meikou and Yikou, establishing district Party committees and district Soviet governments based in Shuangping, Jinrao, and other areas. This effort lasted over a month. In May, the Communist Party Committee of Taining County and the Soviet Government of Taining County moved from Dabu Township to Long'an Township to continue their work. During this period, they mobilized over 1,200 young people to join the Red Army, actively raised military provisions, and assisted the Red Army in digging trenches, building fortifications, making bamboo spikes, setting up abatis, carrying stretchers, and rescuing wounded soldiers. However, in the harsh struggle environment, some individuals wavered and defected. In early July 1934, Qiu Guisheng, Chairman of the Long'an District Soviet Government, wavered and secretly colluded with the Big Sword Society. On July 12, taking advantage of the absence of the Independent Battalion of the County, which had gone out on guerrilla operations, leaving only one squad to guard Long'an, he led hundreds of Big Sword Society bandits in a night raid on the headquarters of the Communist Party Committee of Taining County and the Soviet Government of Taining County. More than ten cadres including Yan Shaocheng, Chairman of the Soviet Government of Taining County, Li Yi, Director of the Political Security Bureau, Huang Muzhu, Head of the Women's Department, and over ten Red Army soldiers were killed, resulting in the bloody “Long'an Incident.” Soon after, following instructions from Zhang Wentian, Secretary of the Provisional Central Committee of the Communist Party, the Communist Party Committee of Taining County and the Soviet Government of Taining County disbanded their institutions, with all personnel incorporated into the Independent Battalion of the Guerrilla Forces. They carried out guerrilla operations behind enemy lines in the Jian-Tai border area. Thus ended the Taining Soviet Area.

In 1998, due to rural renovation and construction, the Liao Family Ancestral Hall was demolished.

Dalong Township: Dalong Township is a newly established township formed in April 2005 through the merger of the former Dabu and Long'an townships. It is located in the southwest of Taining County, encompassing 16 administrative villages and 89 villager groups, with a population of 11,500 and an area of 310 square kilometers. The township is rich in resources, with nearly 100 million cubic meters of granite reserves and hydropower potential exceeding 20,000 kilowatts. Jinrao Mountain, characterized mainly by granite landforms, and Baxian Cliff, dominated by danxia landforms, are two of the five major zones of the Taining County Global Geopark. The Tigerji Folk Village boasts distinctive features of an original mountain stronghold of the Hakka people in southern China.
