Yongfu Folk Museum

The folk museum is an old house located at the foot of the mountain on the right side of Shili Flower Street. The house features the architectural characteristics typical of Yongfu: built with a combination of earth and wood, it has red tiles with white edges, tiled roofing around the perimeter, and a corridor in the middle. There are courtyards on either side of the corridor, ensuring ample natural light. The building’s low profile makes it wind-resistant and gives it the advantage of staying warm in winter and cool in summer. Though it is a village-level folk museum, it is quite creative, with a simple layout that still leaves plenty of space for visitors to walk around.

On display are items collected from nearby farmhouses, such as windmills, rice hullers, pestles, and Ming Dynasty furniture. These aged objects stir nostalgia in the elderly and spark curiosity in the young.
