The area features scattered farmlands and villages, a continuous cultural and artistic heritage, and a profound contemporary cross-strait cultural connection. The scenic area integrates a variety of landscapes, including hydrological, celestial, biological, cultural, and engineering sights, and offers rich tourism resources and deep historical and cultural significance, such as the clear night sky, pristine reservoir lakes, fresh forest air, and serene mountain tea plantations.

Surrounded by mountains and shrouded in mist, Shanglin Reservoir resembles a high-mountain alpine lake; Paikeng Reservoir, veiled in layers of fog and sea of clouds, looks like a heavenly paradise. The surrounding peaks are stacked, and tea plantations stretch as far as the eye can see—tea fields nestled among forests and forests within tea fields, all reflected in the lake, creating a refreshing and crisp atmosphere. Shanglin Reservoir and Paikeng Reservoir form the main water bodies of the scenic area.
