Zhangping City Museum

Zhangping City Museum is a municipal (county-level) comprehensive museum, established in 1988. The new museum site is located within the Dongshan Park Scenic Area, which boasts beautiful scenery, a tranquil environment, and historical-cultural significance.

The newly built Zhangping City Museum covers a construction area of 4,223 square meters, with a total investment of 4.3 million yuan. Its basic functions are: collection preservation, scientific research, and exhibition display. It will become a new cultural tourism area in Zhangping that integrates cultural education, tourism, and leisure activities.

Zhangping has a long history, rich cultural heritage, and abundant relics, reflecting profound cultural roots. The new Zhangping City Museum plans to establish specialized exhibition halls such as the Zhangping History Exhibition Hall, the Zhangping Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall, the Zhangping Construction Achievements Exhibition Hall, the Wang Jinghong Memorial Hall, the Chen Xingchu Memorial Hall, and the Educated Youth Sentiment Hall. The city museum aims to serve as an important base for patriotic and revolutionary tradition education for citizens, fostering love for the country and hometown, and nurturing national spirit. It will also be an important classroom for young people to learn about revolutionary traditions, receive education, and cultivate moral character.

Currently, the decoration and exhibition setup of the Educated Youth Sentiment Hall, Chen Xingchu Memorial Hall, and Red Zhangping Hall within the new municipal museum have been completed. Other specialized exhibition halls are scheduled to finish their setups and open to the public before October 2007.

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 AM–11:30 AM and 2:30 PM–5:00 PM (3:00 PM–5:30 PM in summer). Closed on Mondays for cleaning. Open as usual on weekends and national holidays.
