Línshān Pagoda

Línshān Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Línshān Pagoda is located in Chéngwài Village, Shuāngyáng Town, Zhāngpíng District, Longyan City. Also known as Yuánjué Pagoda, it was first built in the 30th year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1602) and renovated in the 18th year of the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty (1679). Covering an area of 300 square meters, it is a seven-story octagonal pavilion-style pagoda standing 23 meters tall. Each story features four full-height semicircular windows facing outward, while the other four sides have shrines for Buddhist statues. The pagoda is built of brick and coated in white plaster, with a wooden spiral staircase inside leading to the top. Each level has corbelled eaves, and the octagonal roof features upturned corners with a gourd-shaped finial at the top. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province in 1996.

Chéngwài Village: Chéngwài Village comprises three natural villages — Chéngwài, Shíkēng, and Yánkēng — with six villager groups, 273 households, and a total population of 1,012 people (including 35 Party members). The village has 1,048 mu of arable land and over 20,000 mu of forested land. There are 142 residents aged 60 or above, accounting for 13.5% of the population, including 6 elderly living alone (all classified as Five Guarantees recipients), and 15 households receiving subsistence allowances. Currently, the main industry of the villagers is flue-cured tobacco production, with 480 mu dedicated to tobacco cultivation.
