Tiger Talisman Ancestral Hall

The Tiger Talisman Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The Tiger Talisman Ancestral Hall is located in Nanfeng Village, Xin Qiao Town, Zhangping City, Longyan. It was first built during the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the 16th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1537). Covering a land area of 1,800 square meters with a building area of 120 square meters, the main hall features a hip-and-gable roof and a post-and-lintel wooden structure. The hall includes architectural elements such as bracket sets and caisson ceilings. The Taoist altar inside enshrines Lord Zhang, the Taoist master. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province in 2009.

Nanfeng Village: Located in the northwest of Xin Qiao Town — known as the hometown of modern folk painting in China — Nanfeng Village lies 10 kilometers from the town center at an elevation of 650 meters, and is referred to as a small plain on the high mountains. The village currently has a land area of 62,695 mu, including 1,667.33 mu of arable land, 5,000 mu of bamboo forests, 20 mu of tea plantations, and 30 mu of orchards. It comprises 3 natural villages, 8 villager groups, 342 households, and a total population of 1,134 people, including 31 Communist Party members, 35 villager representatives, and 5 village committee officials.
