Zhangtai National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Zhangtai National Forest Park is located in the southeastern part of Zhangtai County, Fujian Province. It lies 46 kilometers east of downtown Xiamen and 29 kilometers south of downtown Zhangzhou. The provincial Jiaotai Highway passes nearby and connects with National Highway 324, offering very convenient transportation. The park covers a total area of 3,081 hectares, including over 1,400 hectares of natural forest land, as well as various tropical rainforest rare tree species and more than 30 kinds of precious wild animals.

The park boasts clusters of unusual rocks. Its mountains are rugged with jagged stones that pile and support one another, naturally forming stone chambers, caves, halls, vaults, and stairways. Caves within caves and interconnected grottoes create a mystifying, labyrinthine landscape. Cliff inscriptions and cultural relics offer rewarding discoveries for history and adventure seekers. In the southern valley of Tianzhu Mountain, the woods are tranquil and the land open, with clear mountains and beautiful waters that evoke a serene and peaceful feeling. Visitors can enjoy fishing, camping, or barbecuing here for endless fun. Currently, the mountain is home to over 3,000 plant species and more than 1,000 hectares of natural secondary forest, where trees, old vines, and moss coexist. There are ancient towering trees, twisted roots, and hanging beards of foliage, resembling a tropical rainforest where birds sing and cicadas chirp, offering an otherworldly serenity. Crystal-clear streams and trickling brooks flow ceaselessly, like pearls rolling down or silver ribbons hanging in the air. Numerous hidden springs can be heard gurgling but their sources remain unseen, adding to the park's mysterious charm.
