Birthplace of Zhuangyuan Lin Zhen – Zhang Family Ancestral Temple: Lin Zhen, the Zhuangyuan (top imperial scholar), was born in the Zhang Family Ancestral Temple, which still stands today in Jingyuan Village, Wuan, Changtai. The temple was built in the early Ming Dynasty, faces west with its back to the east, and covers an area of about 400 square meters. It consists of a front hall, a central courtyard, and the main hall. Lin Zhen, courtesy name Dunsheng, achieved the top rank in the imperial examination in the fifth year of the Xuande era (1430) during the Ming Dynasty. Emperor Xuanzong of Ming bestowed the name "Jingyuan Village" upon the streamside village in Changtai. Subsequently, in the county seat of Changtai, structures such as the Zhuangyuan Ancestral Hall, Zhuangyuan Memorial Archway, Zhuangyuan Lane, and Zhuangyuan Well were also established. In the second year of the Zhengtong era (1437), Lin Zhen returned home due to illness and later passed away there. The imperial edict that honored his secondary wife with the title of "Anren" is still preserved in Changtai to this day.
