The Ancestral Hall of the Chen Clan – Zhan Yi Hall is a cultural heritage site protected by Fujian Province.

The Ancestral Hall of the Chen Clan – Zhan Yi Hall is located in Xiangkou She, Gangzhai Village, Yanxi Town, Changtai County, dating from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China.

Description: Originally built in the Ming Dynasty and renovated during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, it faces southeast and is situated northwest. Covering a land area of 2,096 square meters with a construction area of 594 square meters, it consists of the ancestral hall courtyard, front hall, central courtyard, corridor rooms, and main hall. The ancestral hall courtyard is divided into upper and lower levels, with the upper level paved with granite slabs. Two flagpole stone bases stand on the western side. The front hall is five bays wide and three bays deep, with the central bay’s front corridor recessed by one rafter bay, featuring a stone imitation of wooden structure. The main hall is also five bays wide and three bays deep, using a post-and-lintel wooden frame with large timber materials. The central bay features wooden golden pillars that taper slightly toward the top and bottom, forming spindle-shaped columns. The rear corridor houses a wooden shrine platform adorned with gold leaf and colored paintings.

Protective boundary: The area extends 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2018, the Ancestral Hall of the Chen Clan – Zhan Yi Hall was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
