The Ancient Architectural Complex of Guihou is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Ancient Architectural Complex of Guihou is located in Guihou Village, Yanxi Town, Changtai County, dating from the Ming Dynasty to the Republican era.

Overview: It consists of eight structures — the Zhuoyuantang Hall, Difen Hall, Ye Wenlong’s Residence, Pujiyanc Rock, Louzai Cuo, Juxingtang Hall, Zenggong Ancestral Hall, and Sheng Cuo — built between the Ming Dynasty and the Republican period. The complex covers a total area of approximately 18,361 square meters and a total built-up area of about 6,331 square meters. Among them, the Zhuoyuantang, Difen Hall, Juxingtang, and Zenggong Ancestral Hall are ancestral halls; Ye Wenlong’s Residence, Louzai Cuo, and Sheng Cuo are residential buildings; and Pujiyanc Rock is a temple. All buildings feature either flush-gable or hip-and-gable roofs with swallowtail ridges, and employ a mixed post-and-lintel and Dougong wooden structural system.

Protected area: A 20-meter buffer zone extends outward from the perimeter of each individual structure.

In 2018, the Ancient Architectural Complex of Guihou was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Guihou Village in Yanxi Town is situated in the central hinterland of the town. The village lies on low, flat terrain and enjoys a South Asian tropical maritime climate. To the south, it borders Guiqian Village; to the east, the Changtai No. 2 Sugar Refinery; to the west, Ganzhai Village; and to the north, Xiamei Village — all within Yanxi Town. It is 15 kilometers from the county seat and 2 kilometers from the town center. Provincial Highway 207 and County Road 592 run through the village, which has an extensive network of internal roads, with all main village roads paved in concrete, ensuring very convenient transportation.
