The Qingyang Lu Clan Ancestral Temple

The Qingyang Lu Clan Ancestral Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Qingyang Lu Clan Ancestral Temple is located in Qingyang Village, Fangyang Town, Changtai County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Also known as the Lu Jing Loyal Remonstrance Mansion, it was built during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1723–1735). The temple faces southeast and is situated northwest, consisting of a front hall, main hall, and a water passage corridor, covering an area of 183 square meters. The front hall is three bays wide and two bays deep, featuring a post-and-lintel timber frame and a flush gable roof; the main hall is five bays wide and three bays deep (with the rear eave wall supporting the purlin), also featuring a post-and-lintel timber frame and a flush gable roof. The ancestral temple is a relatively well-preserved example of mid-to-early Qing Dynasty Minnan-style architecture.

In 2013, the Qingyang Lu Clan Ancestral Temple was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected Area: An additional 15 meters extending outward from the perimeter of the temple.

Qingyang Village: Qingyang Village is located at the junction of Fangyang Town and Tong’an Town, as well as Lotus Town’s Baijiao Temple Village, Xikeng Village, and the Yinlan Team of Shuangmei Village in Daping Township, Anxi. It is a former revolutionary base area. The village has a total of 204 households, 810 residents, and 7 villager groups scattered at the foot of Guanyin Mountain, which stands 923 meters above sea level. The mountainous area spans 13,700 mu, arable land covers 750 mu, and tea plantation area originally covered 500 mu collectively, now expanded to nearly 1,000 mu.
