Tasly Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine City is the first national industrial tourism demonstration site in Tianjin and a national patriotic education base. Located in the Beichen National High-Tech Industrial Park in Tianjin, it covers an area of 1.05 square kilometers and is adjacent to the Yixingbu exit of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway. It is about 2 kilometers from downtown Tianjin and about 95 kilometers from downtown Beijing. It is a distinctive tourism brand integrating traditional Chinese medicine culture, herbal displays, advanced manufacturing platforms for modern TCM, unique traditional medicinal cuisine, leisure and entertainment, as well as conferences and exchanges, and is open to all sectors of society. Currently, it is applying to become a national science education base.

The Tasly Group was established in 1994. Focusing on the health industry, with pharmaceuticals at its core—including modern traditional Chinese medicine, chemical drugs, biopharmaceuticals, health supplements, and functional foods—it is a high-tech enterprise group covering fields such as research, cultivation, production, and marketing. Tasly Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine City serves as the headquarters, R&D center, and industrial base for modern TCM and health products of the Tasly Group. Among them, the world’s largest wall relief—the Chinese Medicine Mural—depicts hundreds of eminent figures from ancient medical history and numerous vivid and interesting anecdotes from TCM, narrating the five-thousand-year development of traditional Chinese medicine. The Medicinal Plant Eco-Park provides visitors with an environment to connect with nature and learn about TCM, reflecting the philosophical concept of “harmony between man and nature.” The International Exchange Center combines product displays, training sessions, conferences, and seminars, serving as a communication platform for the integration of TCM and global medicine. In addition, while visiting, guests can also attend professional health lectures, sample distinctive medicinal cuisine, and purchase health products. Within the Tasly Garden, there are also comprehensive indoor recreational facilities, as well as options for fishing and boating, combining activity and tranquility in perfect harmony. The newly constructed Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the planned wellness-oriented hotel will further enhance Tasly’s tourism offerings, delivering a wholesome experience encompassing TCM culture, health knowledge, and leisure entertainment.
