Located in Qiaodong Town, Bozhou City, it is among the first national agricultural tourism demonstration sites and a national 2A-level tourist attraction. It has also been designated by both national and provincial governments as a provincial-level agricultural science and technology demonstration park, a leading enterprise in Anhui Province’s agricultural industrialization, a provincial agricultural science and technology expert complex, a national-level scientific innovation center, and a high-quality traditional Chinese medicinal material production base.

Established in 2000, the botanical garden covers an area of 2,200 mu, with a central zone of 200 mu. Integrating the cultivation, planting, demonstration, research, and tourism of traditional Chinese medicine, it is the first medicinal plant garden in Anhui Province. The garden currently cultivates over 200 types of medicinal herbs, alongside prestigious medicinal tree species such as ginkgo, eucommia, pagoda trees, papaya, hawthorn, and cornus, creating a wonderland where “flowers bloom in all seasons and scenery changes at every step.”

Bozhou City’s Medicinal Plant Garden is the only tourism and sightseeing site in Anhui focused on traditional Chinese medicinal materials, and it is also a major ecological agriculture base in Bozhou. It plays a significant role in improving the production level of medicinal herbs in the province. It has now become a uniquely distinctive tourist attraction in the city, receiving around 100,000 visitors annually.

Qiaodong Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Bozhou City. In 1958, it belonged to the Shijiu Li Commune; in 1983, it was restructured as Xinqi Township under the Shijiu Li District; and in 1996, it was established as Qiaodong Town. It is located 10 kilometers east of the city center, covering an area of 60 square kilometers with a population of 43,000. To the northwest, it borders National Highway 311, and the Bo (zhou)–Guan (tang) Road runs through it.
