The Shanghaiqiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Slicing Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Anhui Shanghaiqiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Slicing Factory was established in 1993 with a registered capital of 32.66 million yuan and total assets of 145 million yuan. In 2005, it achieved sales revenue of 119 million yuan. It is a national industrial tourism demonstration site and a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

In 2003, the technical renovation project of Anhui Shanghaiqiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Slicing Factory, with a total investment of 82 million yuan, was named the "Anhui Shanghaiqiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Slicing High-Tech Industry Demonstration Project" by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Anhui Provincial Development and Planning Commission. It is now in production and has passed GMP certification. The new factory covers an area of 206 mu, with a construction area of over 32,000 square meters, including 13,000 square meters for the slicing production workshop, 10,000 square meters for storage, and 3,000 square meters for the quality inspection and R&D center. The pretreatment workshop has five slicing production lines, with an annual processing capacity of 15,000 tons of herbal slices, utilizing international processes such as computer central control and far-infrared drying. The new factory’s production, quality inspection, and software and hardware facilities have reached a leading level in China.

Anhui Shanghaiqiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Slicing Factory is a modern enterprise integrating production, tourism, and scientific research. In terms of R&D, the company has become a teaching and research base for Anhui University of Chinese Medicine and collaborates with multiple domestic colleges, universities, and research institutions. It has undertaken 37 of the 100 topics in the National Ministry of Science and Technology's key project “Standardization of Processing Techniques and Quality Standards for Traditional Chinese Medicine Slices,” and has established multiple GAP planting bases in accordance with the National Good Agricultural Practice for Chinese Crude Drugs.

Anhui Shanghaiqiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Slicing Factory was awarded the title of “Top Ten Enterprises” by the Bozhou Municipal Party Committee and Government in 2000, ranked among the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Anhui Province” in 2003, honored as an “Outstanding Honest Private Enterprise” in the province in 2005, and recognized as an “Anhui Provincial Agricultural Industrialization Leading Enterprise” by the Anhui Provincial Agricultural Industrialization Work Steering Committee in the same year. In 2006, it was named an Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site by the National Tourism Administration, awarded the title of Excellent Honest Enterprise by the Anhui Banking Association, and given the “Double Excellence in Management and Efficiency” award by the Provincial Food and Drug Administration.
