The Christian Church, also known as Gospel Church, is located on Dongjia Street in Bozhou City, adjacent to Bozhou No. 1 Middle School (which was originally established by missionaries from the church). In the 23rd year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1897), American Christian missionary Bai came to Bozhou to preach and built the church on the north bank of the Wu River. After Bai returned to his home country, in the 2nd year of the Xuantong reign (1910), Americans Bao Zhipi, Bao Wandao, Bao Aide, and others came to Bozhou from Shandong to take over the missionary work that Bai had been conducting in the city.
