Tianmu Village South Mosque
According to the Second National Census of Cultural Relics: It was first built in the fourth year of the Xianfeng reign (1854). In 1948, it was burned down by the Kuomintang army after being used as an underground activity site by the Communist Party, and was later rebuilt. Covering an area of 1,278 square meters with a floor space of 825 square meters, the mosque is of brick-and-wood construction in the Mecca style, with a five-bay facade, and includes a main prayer hall, lecture rooms, ablution rooms, and more. The roofs of the main building and the corner towers on both sides are all onion-domed.
The mosque provided shelter for underground workers and People's Liberation Army scouts during the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Liberation War. After 1990, the south and north lecture halls were constructed, the reception hall and main hall were rebuilt in 1998, and the Women’s Mosque was completed in 2002.
