The Hua Tuo Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Museum is a patriotic education base.

Hua Tuo (circa 145 AD – 208 AD), a medical expert of the late Eastern Han Dynasty, styled Yuanhua, was from Qiao in Pei Commandery (present-day Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, Anhui Province). To extol the great achievements of the divine doctor Hua Tuo in healing and saving lives, and to help more people in China understand the profound richness of traditional Chinese medicine culture, the CPC Bozhou Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Bozhou City decided to build the Hua Tuo Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Museum, which officially opened on September 9, 2009, Hua Tuo’s birthday. The museum is a two-story shallow concave-style antique waterside pavilion building, continuing the simple and solemn architectural style of the Hua Zu’an. The exhibition halls include five major themes: the origin of traditional Chinese medicine, the five-thousand-year development history of TCM, Hua Tuo and his medical achievements, TCM resources, and the current state of modern TCM culture development in Bozhou. Whenever visitors step into the Hua Tuo Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Museum, they feel as if they have traveled through a thousand years of time, wandering amid the timeless fragrance of medicinal herbs, quietly sensing the profound depth of Chinese medicine, and bowing their heads in reverence to the divine healer’s life-saving knowledge. They witness the origins of acupuncture, appreciate Shennong’s tasting of hundreds of herbs, recount the miraculous skills of the divine doctor, empathize with the suffering of the common people, and are moved to reflection.
