Wobei Christian Church is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Wobei Christian Church (Qing Dynasty – Republican Era, Bozhou City, Qiaocheng District)

Also known as Gospel Church, it was built by American Baptist missionaries who came to Bozhou to preach the gospel. Due to its location on the north bank of the Wu River, it is called "Wobei Christian Church." The church faces south with a northern orientation, featuring blue bricks and gray tiles, a brick-and-wood structure, and a Gothic design. It stands 11 meters tall and covers an area of 314 square meters, with a distinctive architectural style — the exterior follows European design while the interior incorporates traditional Chinese elements. The entire structure is U-shaped, and when viewed from above, the church forms a cross shape. It has a pointed roof, European-style stained glass windows, and the beams, pillars, and brackets inside are carved with Chinese knots and ancient coins. The upper part of the south wall is triangular, and the lower part has two doors. Inside, the northern side houses a pulpit, while wooden corridors wrap around the west, south, and east sides about 3 meters above the ground. The church displays a plaque inscribed with "Eternal True God" (erected in 1915), along with a couplet written by Emperor Kangxi: “The Eternal Sovereign, without beginning or end; the Almighty Judge, dispensing benevolence and righteousness.” A baptismal pool was built beneath the pulpit, constructed at the same time as the church. This building holds significant research value for studying the introduction of Christianity in the Bozhou region, daily religious activities, and the development of the congregation.
