Xiaojingzhuang Household Responsibility System Memorial Hall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Located in Shan nan Town, Feixi County, Hefei City, 50 kilometers from Hefei. The memorial hall was completed and opened to the public on May 1, 2005. It got its name from a well built during the Qing Dynasty's Guangxu era that stands in front of the village. On September 15, 1978, the Shan nan District of Feixi County decided to implement the household responsibility system. On May 31, 1980, - endorsed the pioneering spirit of the people of Shan nan, Feixi County, noting in his article “On Rural Policy Issues” that “the vast majority of production teams in Feixi County, Anhui, have adopted the household responsibility system, resulting in significant increases in production.” As a result, Xiaojingzhuang, Feixi County, was recorded in history as one of the birthplaces of China’s rural household responsibility system.

The “China Rural Household Responsibility System Memorial Hall,” designed in the Huizhou architectural style, is China’s first memorial hall dedicated to the household responsibility system. Its design fully reflects the “people-oriented” concept. It is functionally divided into three main categories: tourism, residence, and ecological agriculture, and further segmented into six functional zones: the Xiaojingzhuang Memorial Hall Core Area, the Well-off Residential Zone, the Ecological Agriculture Zone, the Premium Greening Zone, the Commercial Service Zone, and the Basic Farmland Protection Zone. The hall officially opened on May 1, 2005. A memorial stele at the main entrance of the memorial hall bears a quote from Comrade Deng Xiaoping dated May 31, 1980, and the inscription “Xiaojingzhuang” by Wang Guangyu, former Deputy Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, testifying to the small village’s once remarkable glory and impact.

Xiaojingzhuang Village: Located southwest of Shan nan, 50 km from provincial capital Hefei, with Provincial Road 315 passing through it, connecting to National Highway 206 to the south and National Highway 312 to the north. It earned its name from a well built in the second year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty that stands in front of the village. It is the birthplace of China’s rural household responsibility system and has been designated as a historical and cultural village of Anhui Province.
