(By XU Jinqun & WU Qi) On November 13, construction of the beginner and intermediate ski slopes under the Dabie Mountains Winter Sports and Leisure Project, with an investment of 100 million yuan, is nearing completion and will begin trial operations on January 1 next year.
It is reported that the project is located in Shiguan Township, Yuexi County. Leveraging its unique alpine climate, Yuexi County has introduced Henan Letu Travel Company to invest in and develop the winter sports and leisure project. The project area mainly includes the construction of a mountain sports ski resort, covering a planned area of about 100 acres, with a total investment of 100 million yuan and a construction period of six years. The project will be built in two phases. The first phase includes the construction of a sports ski practice slope, beginner and intermediate ski slopes, a magic carpet, snowmaking machines, snow groomers, a pump house, water storage tanks, and other supporting service facilities. The second phase will include a grass skiing field, advanced ski slopes, a leisure resort, health and elderly care projects, and an ecological farm. Once completed, the project will become a top-tier tourism base in the Dabie Mountains region, integrating sports skiing, leisure vacations, and summer retreats for the elderly.
