Guanting Forest Sea is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Guanting Forest Sea is located on the watershed ridge between the Yangtze and Huaihe river basins, situated between Hefei and Lu’an cities. It borders Shushan District to the east, connects to Zipeng Mountain Scenic Area to the south, extends to Mingchuan Township to the west, and lies adjacent to National Highway 312 to the north. Established in 2010, the forest sea now spans over 60,000 acres, with its core scenic area covering more than 20,000 acres. It is the largest man-made ornamental forest and natural oxygen bar in the suburbs of Hefei.

The forest sea is home to nearly 100 varieties of premium seedlings and serves as a habitat for over 40 species of protected animals. With fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and picturesque landscapes, it boasts blooming flowers and birdsong all year round. In spring, you can enjoy cherry blossoms, crabapple, red plum, magnolia, and peach blossoms; in summer, there are crape myrtles; in autumn, osmanthus; and in winter, wintersweet.

The scenic area features key attractions such as an ecological wetland, Fengxiang Lake, sparse woodlands and grasslands, modern gardens, the Yangtze-Huaihe Watershed scenic zone, landscape pavilions, flower seas, and seven major eco-leisure sightseeing zones. Supporting infrastructure includes primary and secondary loop roads, five rest stops, seven tourist toilets, seven ecological parking lots, and a multifunctional visitor center spanning 3,600 square meters.

Guanting Forest Sea has become a renowned green ecological tourism destination in Anhui Province.
