Huaqian Valley Cultural Tourism Scenic Area

Huaqian Valley Cultural Tourism Scenic Area is located in Guanting Town, Feixi County, Hefei City, 40 kilometers from Hefei and 25 kilometers from Lu'an. The planned Hefei–Lu'an Light Rail and Jiqi Expressway intersect here. Boasting a prime location and convenient transportation, it is jointly built by Hefei Huawujiuzhou Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and Hefei Huagu Jingyu Tourism Operation Management Co., Ltd. to national AAAA-level tourism standards. It is a distinctive countryside destination integrating flower and nursery cultivation, agricultural and forestry science education, study trips and team building, parent-child experiences, leisure entertainment, farmhouse dining, and outdoor camping. The scenic area spans a planned area of over 4,000 acres, featuring diverse landforms, rich visual experiences, vibrant ecological beauty, and a simple rural ambiance. With interactive activities suitable for all ages, it offers endless fun. What deserves special praise is that, as the name suggests, Huaqian Valley centers around a floral culture theme throughout the park. A wide variety of rare flowers, colorful foliage trees, and ornamental grasses are found everywhere, blooming in competition all year round, striving to become a “flower lover’s paradise”—“inspired by sea of flowers but surpassing it!”

The Huaqian Valley Scenic Area has built supporting infrastructure including a tourist service center, souvenir shops, a transit hub, farmhouse kitchens, public toilets, eco-friendly parking lots, as well as an off-road zone, a colorful dry ski slope, parent-child craft workshops, a fishing center, a motorized amusement park, a science corridor, and a fruit and vegetable corridor. The total investment exceeds 200 million yuan. The scenic area adheres to the principles of “ecotourism, industry-driven development, healthy growth, and environmental protection.” Following the national AAAA-level scenic area benchmark and based on the integrated development strategy of “floral culture, agricultural and forestry sightseeing, and leisure tourism,” it adopts a site-specific approach and a six-zones-one-park layout. The goal is to create an ecologically leisure-focused tourism destination in East China that is both popular and rich in unique cultural significance.

Guanting Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Feixi County. Established as Guanting Township in 1949, upgraded to a commune in 1958, reverted to township in 1983, and designated as a town in 1984. It lies 29.5 kilometers northwest of the county seat, covering an area of 72.6 square kilometers with a population of 31,000. The Hefei–Lu'an Highway and National Highway 312 pass through the town. The main canal of the Pihe River flows through the northern part of the town.
