Feidong Baima Mountain Rural Tourism Demonstration Site

Baima Mountain stands at an elevation of 266 meters and faces "Sunrise over Sidings," one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of Hefei." The Baima Mountain Rural Tourism Demonstration Site is a rural tourism project planned for development on the former state-owned Baima Mountain Orchard Farm. It is situated in the suburbs of Hefei City, at the foot of Baima Mountain in the eastern part of Liujiafan Town—Anhui’s foremost hometown of overseas Chinese—and is adjacent to Liujiafan Town, Changlinhe Town, Fuxing Township, and Huanglu Town of Chaohu City. It is only 38 kilometers from Hefei and less than 20 kilometers as the crow flies, connected via Provincial Highway Heyu Road and Municipal Road Dianzhong Road, offering extremely convenient transportation. Nearby cities include Hefei and Chaohu, while surrounding cities include Nanjing and Chuzhou, indicating a broad potential tourist market. Both Hefei City and Feidong County actively responded to the call for tourism to serve the construction of a new socialist countryside. Based on the "Hefei Rural Tourism Development Plan," the Hefei Tourism Bureau carefully selected Baima Mountain as the city’s rural tourism demonstration site for cultivation and development.

The Baima Mountain Tourist Resort is located at the foot of Baima Mountain in the eastern part of Changlinhe Town, Feidong County—Anhui’s foremost hometown of overseas Chinese—and is just 38 kilometers from Hefei City and 27 kilometers from the county seat, Dianbu. The resort covers a total land area of 2,080 mu, including over 1,500 mu of arable land. It currently has more than 500 mu of orchards, featuring over 260 rare varieties such as Golden Branch Sophora japonica, Fujian Crape Myrtle, and Michelia figo, and highlights three main features: "mountain wildness," "flowers and fruits," and "springs and waters." It has been successively recognized as a Hefei Rural Tourism Demonstration Site and a National 2A-level Tourist Attraction.

Changlinhe Town: Changlinhe Town originated during the Chiwu era of the Three Kingdoms period and is a town with a long history. Historical research indicates that water from the northern foot of Qingyang Mountain continuously flowed into Chaohu Lake via Changning Temple, eventually forming the Changning River. The place was named after the river and later renamed Changlinhe because it borders Chaohu Lake.

Changlinhe Town is located at the southernmost tip of Feidong County, bordering Chaohu Lake and adjacent to Binhu. It covers a total area of 100 square kilometers, governs 18 villages and 2 communities, and has a population of 52,000. The town is rich in talent and resources, enjoys a superior geographical location, and is traversed by the provincial-level tourism highway—Dianzhong Road.
