Introduction: Huayuan Street is located at the junction of the middle section of Changjiang Road and the southern section of Rongshida Avenue. Due to its position at the center of Hefei’s Circular City Park and in the heart of the city, it is also known as the “Garden within a Garden” or “Street Center Garden.” Huayuan Street is a north-south oriented, strip-style open park. Aside from 26-meter-wide vehicle lanes and sidewalks on both sides, the garden itself is 20 meters wide and 400 meters long. At the southern end is a three-tiered fountain complex, where various spherical, columnar, and umbrella-shaped fountains flow gracefully, complemented by colorful lights that create images as elegant as lotus flowers and as delicate as swaying chrysanthemum petals. North of the fountain plaza is a series of abstract sculptures themed around science, nature, and life. These include “Hands · World,” reflecting the broad sentiments of the people of Jianghuai; “Life · Motion,” revealing the relationship between humans and nature; “Eternity,” symbolizing infinite time; “Sundial,” showcasing ancient civilization; “Peace,” expressing humanity’s beautiful aspirations; and three sturdy white marble sculptural pillars that use freehand techniques to represent the “past, present, and future” of scientific development, leaving visitors with endless space for reflection. Huayuan Street is lush with trees, bright with flowers, and green with grass, offering pleasant scenery all year round. Along the greenery, many stone benches and long seating areas are set up, providing nearby urban dwellers with ideal spots to rest, relax, and enjoy the view after a day’s work.
