The Dachengtou Site

The Dachengtou Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

The Dachengtou Site, also known as the "Imperial City," is located in Dacheng Village, Kanji Township, Feidong County. It is a Neolithic to Shang Dynasty site in the Jianghuai region. Resembling a round earthen mound, it measures 100 meters in length, 80 meters in width, and stands 2–3 meters above the ground. Investigations have revealed that the cultural layer of the site reaches a depth of 3 meters. Except for the topsoil, which is 50–60 centimeters thick and severely damaged, the layers beneath are well-preserved. A large number of artifacts have been collected, including stone axes, stone arrowheads, shell knives, pottery spinning wheels, tripods, jars, li tripods, basins, as well as pottery shards. It is a provincially designated key cultural relics protection unit.
