East Lake Hot Spring Resort is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

East Lake Hot Spring Resort is located on the banks of Jinzhong River in Dongli District, 18 kilometers from the city center. Originally a reservoir, East Lake was later developed into a tourist area, known for its vast water surface and abundant geothermal resources.

The lake covers an area 1.5 times that of Hangzhou’s West Lake and is home to a variety of aquatic products such as whitebait and pike. Every year, over 100,000 wild birds inhabit the lakeside. The area is rich in geothermal resources and is the source of the northern China geothermal belt. The geothermal water is beneficial to human health, helping to strengthen the body, which has led to the development of hot spring hotels by the lake. In addition, the resort offers recreational activities such as water flying performances, aerial rope bridges, wooden houses on the water, speedboats, and jet skis. In winter, ice sailing, ice carts, and sledding are also available.
