Dongzhi County Martyrs' Cemetery serves as a patriotic education base.

Dongzhi County Martyrs' Cemetery was built in 1973, covering an area of 56,910 square meters with a construction area of 3,600 square meters. The cemetery is composed of a sequence of elements from bottom to top: a square, scenic forest, a hundred-step staircase, a memorial hall, a group of martyrs' tombs, and a memorial monument. The martyrs' monument stands 15 meters tall, and there are 17 martyrs' tombs, which house the remains of 40 martyrs. The two memorial halls on the east and west sides cover a total area of 500 square meters and are divided into five revolutionary periods, displaying the glorious history of the revolutionary struggle in Dongzhi. The exhibits include 84 portraits of martyrs, 93 oil paintings, 23 photographs, 115 text panels, over 40 third-level protected relics, and a list of 1,117 martyrs. The cemetery’s public sanitation facilities and infrastructure such as walls are largely well-established. Since its establishment, it has been open to the public free of charge.
