Tomb of Zhou Guangde

The Tomb of Zhou Guangde is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chizhou City.

The Tomb of Zhou Guangde is located in Maotian Village, Yaodu Town, Dongzhi County. It dates back to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient tomb.

On March 4, 2020, the Chizhou Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Chizhou.

Protected area: extending 10 meters east, south, west, and north from the tomb mound as the center point.

Construction control zone: extending 5 meters further east, south, and north from the outer edge of the protected area, and westward to the mountain-foot path.

Yaodu Town: Yaodu Town is the county seat of Dongzhi County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, and serves as the economic, political, cultural, educational, and transportation hub of Dongzhi County. Legend has it that Emperor Shun once farmed here, and when Emperor Yao heard of his virtue, he traveled a thousand li across the river to seek his counsel—hence the name “Yaodu” (Yao’s Crossing). The town covers a total area of 235.9 square kilometers, governs 14 villages, 7 communities, and 2 residential committees, with a total population of over 86,000, including more than 53,000 permanent residents.
