The new Chizhou City Library is located at No. 77 Qiupu East Road in the city and opened to the public on September 30, 2013. With a construction area of 8,200 square meters, it mainly includes reading rooms for general (senior citizens), children, people with disabilities, natural sciences & social sciences, and humanities & social sciences, as well as a general stack room, circulation stack room, electronic reading room, audiovisual materials room, and multi-function lecture hall. It provides services such as book collections, lending, digital resources, consulting services, public activities, processing operations, administrative offices, technical equipment, and logistical support. The library actively implements the Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project, further improving its networking and digital capabilities, and offers free digital resources to readers. It has established extensive interlibrary loan services with university libraries such as Chizhou University, Chizhou Vocational and Technical College, and the Provincial Population College. A total of 222 off-site service points have been set up, various types of reading promotion activities are widely carried out, and government information disclosure services are also provided.
