No need to fly to Japan！Free photo ops at Taiwan’s “Weathering With You”-style glass skywalk

This stunning glass skywalk resembles scenes from the Japanese animated film *Weathering With You*. Located on the scenic platform of Zhongzhuang Regulating Reservoir in Taoyuan, it quickly became a hotspot for netizens eager to take photos as soon as it was completed. Previously closed for safety reasons, it has now finally reopened during the Lunar New Year holiday, becoming a top spot for spring outings.

The scenic platform of Zhongzhuang Regulating Reservoir is situated above the reservoir’s water inlet. Its design, which combines transparent bridge structures with the shimmering pool water, has attracted visitors to stop and admire it, making it a popular online photo spot.

The scenic platform at the reservoir’s water inlet is approximately 4.2 meters wide (with a 3-meter-wide transparent section) and about 13.5 meters long. Constructed with steel framing and reinforced glass, it can support around 300 kilograms per square meter. Aside from being used for water sampling, standing on the bridge allows visitors to take in the expansive views of the reservoir.

To add a little festive joy for the Lunar New Year, and considering safety and manageable staffing, the scenic platform will be open to visitors for photo opportunities from January 1 to 31. Access is on a timed schedule: weekends from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, weekdays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
 
Visitors are reminded not to run, jump, or tap the glass on the platform, and to follow the instructions of on-site staff to ensure order and safety.
