Kakao Friends’ leader, Ryan, has made his splashy debut at a water park this summer. The fan-favorite character has taken over Korea’s Ocean World Water Park, setting up two massive Ryan models for a three-month pop-up event. The attraction has quickly become one of the most Instagrammable and must-visit spots in Korea.

From July to September 30, Kakao Friends has taken over the park, featuring two large Ryan plush toys. One is an 11-meter-tall inflatable Ryan figure tied to a river, claimed to be the largest in Korea, while another is a Ryan character riding a pool float – both eye-catching and adorable.

Another installation is a life-sized “Ryan plush” located at the entrance of the outdoor pool area. Ryan is seen lounging in the wave pool, wearing sunglasses and floating on a pool ring that matches the color scheme of the slides – giving off the vibe that he’s ready to join everyone for some cool water fun.

Located in Korea’s Gangwon Province, Ocean World is designed to resemble an oasis in the desert. The park is divided into five zones: indoor area, wave pool area, extreme zone, vitality zone, and Mega slide zone. It also features a sauna, therapy center, and children’s pool, making it one of Korea’s most beloved water parks. The famous Korean variety show “Running Man” frequently films here.
