Qixingdun Site in Chizhou

The Qixingdun Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

The Qixingdun Site is located between Dongxing Group and Jinxing Group of Baisha Village, Lishan Subdistrict Office, Chizhou City.

It is composed of Sunjiadun (3,600 m²), Yejiadun (3,400 m²), Panjiadun (2,800 m²), Wangjiadun (2,200 m²), Wangjiadun (7,200 m²), Huxingdun (2,500 m²), and Yuexingdun (700 m²), covering a total area of 22,400 square meters. Stone tools such as axes, spades, chisels, arrowheads, and adzes, as well as pottery items like tripods, cauldrons, and jars, have been collected from the surface. Most pottery fragments are made of clay, with fewer sandy-clay pieces. Decorative patterns include checkered, corded, and meander designs. This site was a settlement from the late Neolithic period to the Shang and Zhou dynasties. In November 1988, the former Guichi County Government designated it as a county-level cultural heritage protection site.

Protected Area: The main bodies of seven terraces including Yuexingdun and Huxingdun, along with a 10-meter buffer zone around the base of all seven terrace sites.

Construction Control Zone: Outside the protected area, extending south to National Highway 318, northwest to Baisha River, northeast to Yinjiachong (farmland), and southwest to Sunjiawan (farmland).

Lishan Subdistrict: Lishan Subdistrict is located in Guichi District, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. Serving as the southern gateway to Chizhou, it lies close to both the urban area and the suburbs, featuring a landscape of both mountains and lakes. The subdistrict covers an area of 203 square kilometers, with 12 village committees, 2 residential committees, 301 villager groups, and a population of 39,497. It has 33,068 mu of arable land, 4,200 mu of aquaculture water surface, and 205,800 mu of mountainous forestland.
