The Ancient Huizhou Stone Caves Scenic Area in Huangshan is located in the eastern suburbs of Tunxi District, Huangshan City, and consists of stone cave ruins from ancient Huizhou. The caves are numerous, widely distributed, and diverse in form, characterized by their "grand scale, spectacular presence, dense distribution, distinctive features, and rarity in China, making them a unique wonder of the nation." The caves hold rich and unique historical research and aesthetic value. The Cool Palace is majestic and imposing, the Huanxi Stone Caves are winding and serene, the Twenty-Four Pillars are fantastical and mysterious, and the Sisters' Rouge Cave is vibrant and colorful... The caves house numerous massive rocks and stone carvings, resembling birds, beasts, pavilions, and gazebos, all vividly lifelike as if naturally formed, earning the area the reputation of an open-air museum of ancient Huizhou stone culture.

A cable pedestrian suspension bridge spanning the Xin’an River leads to the scenic area. It is 130 meters long, 1.8 meters wide, and stands 8.3 meters above the water surface on average. As the first suspension bridge of its kind in southern China, its Huizhou-style architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscape, adding another attraction to the beautiful Xin’an River. The over 200,000 square meters of sandy beaches and lawns along the river offer picturesque scenery, making it an ideal destination for sightseeing, exploration, leisure, and recreation.
