A millennium-old town reborn with modern flair. Liyang in Lane is characterized by its architectural language that blends ancient and contemporary styles. The area currently preserves nine well-maintained traditional Huizhou-style residences. With its clear skies, night scenes, sea of clouds, and shimmering lights, it offers visitors a 360-degree immersive experience, where stunning natural backdrops await at every turn.

The district is dotted with well-known brand merchants, attracting many master artisans of intangible cultural heritage. It gathers a rich array of Huizhou specialty foods and offers a full range of coffee and bar brands, ensuring that both domestic and international visitors to Huangshan not only enjoy breathtaking scenery but also have plenty of entertainment options. This has made it a fashionable cultural tourism destination.

Liyang in Lane is a national AAAA-level scenic area. Built as a large-scale comprehensive tourism project leveraging the abundant tourism resources of Huangshan, the area mainly consists of three districts: the Riverside Bar & Leisure District, the Specialty Food District, and the Huizhou Culture Experience District (Liyang Old Street). The project adopts the principles of “preservation, transplantation, and innovation” to achieve the goal of “upgrading Huangshan’s tourism.”

“Liyang in the Tang and Song dynasties, Tunxi in the Ming and Qing dynasties”—this old saying passed down from generations of Tunxi residents shows just how significant Liyang Old Street once was in Huizhou’s history. Also known as Liyang Old Street or Liyang Water Lane, Liyang in Lane faces Tunxi Old Street across the river, with the Old Tunxi Bridge (Zhenhai Bridge) being the only connection between them.

“In Lane” is a homophone for “impression lane.” The area mainly consists of three districts: the Riverside Bar & Leisure District, the Specialty Food District, and the Huizhou Culture Experience District (Liyang Old Street).
