Liyang Old House is located in Liyang Town, Tunxi District, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Liyang Old House has been designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Huangshan City.

Liyang Town: Liyang was established as Liyang County in 207 AD and renamed Liyang during the Jin Dynasty. Situated at the confluence of two rivers and a hub connecting three provinces, it has served as a commercial center on the border of Anhui, Zhejiang, and Jiangxi, as well as a key port town along the Xin’an River for centuries. It is often said that “Tunxi flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties, while Liyang thrived in the Tang and Song.”

In the spring of 1992, Liyang Town was formed through the merger of Liyang Township, Longfu Township, and Jianzhong Township. It currently administers 8 villages and 5 communities, with a total population of 31,389. The town covers a total area of 22.89 square kilometers.
