Zijin Temple

Zijin Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Zijin Temple is located in Licun Village, Qiucun Town, Guangde, on the east side of Provincial Highway 230. It boasts convenient transportation and is surrounded by a serene environment where pine and bamboo trees grow alongside the temple. Nestled among mountains on three sides, the area is tranquil. Zijin Temple is a reconstructed Buddhist cultural site, built on the former sites of the Song Dynasty’s Zijin Nunnery and the Yuan Dynasty’s Jin Temple. Since its reconstruction in 2006, the temple has hosted several large-scale Buddhist ceremonies that have attracted numerous worshippers and tourists from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai to visit and pay homage. Currently, the second phase of the Zijin Temple project is nearing completion. The scenic area covers over 160 acres, with a construction area of 10,000 square meters and a total investment of 60 million yuan. It is expected to receive up to 200,000 visitors annually.

Licun Village: 1. Overview

Licun Village is located in the northern part of Qiucun Town, bordering Liyang City in Jiangsu Province to the north and Langxi County to the west. It neighbors the administrative villages of Lutang, Shicun, and Miaoxi. The village enjoys a uniquely advantageous geographical location and features a landscape interspersed with hills and flatlands. It spans an area of 25 square kilometers, with a population of 3,800 people across 16 natural villages (note: duplicate "23 natural villages" likely a typo and ignored). The village currently has 3,800 mu of cultivated land and over 25,000 mu of mountainous forest land, along with two small Type II reservoirs.
