The Liu Family Residential Complex is located in Sihe Township, Guangde County, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is categorized as ancient architecture.

In 2016, the Liu Family Residential Complex was designated as part of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Xuancheng City.

Sihe Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Guangde County. It was established as Sihe Township in 1956, became a commune in 1961, and reverted to a township in 1983. Located in the southern part of the county, it is 26 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 109 square kilometers with a population of 14,000, it is traversed by the Bai (Dian)–Jiao (Cun) Highway and the Tong River. The township administers nine village committees: Xucun, Shuitang, Hongchong, Xiasong, Gengcun, Ping’an, Hongmiao, Taishan, and Jiaocun. The main industries are forestry and sericulture, with agricultural products including rice and coarse grains.
