Caotang Tombs Cluster

The Caotang Tombs Cluster is a cultural heritage protection unit of Xuancheng City.

The Caotang Tombs Cluster is located in Qiushan Town, Guangde County, dating back to the Han Dynasty, and is categorized as an ancient tomb site.

In 2016, the Caotang Tombs Cluster was designated by the Xuancheng Municipal People’s Government as part of the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units.

Qiushan Town: Qiushan Town is situated in the northern part of Guangde County. It borders Xinhang Town to the east, Taizhou Town to the south, Shijie Town, Taocheng Town of Langxi County, and Lingda Township to the west, and is adjacent to Liyang City of Jiangsu Province to the north. The town government is located at Mentangkou, which is 13 kilometers from the county seat. The town covers a total area of 328 square kilometers and is one of the county’s key grain and oil production areas. It administers 18 administrative villages with a total population of 74,000.
